We have a new member of the team…Tom Retallick joins us as our Office Administrator. Tom likes nothing more than bringing together a plan of action via team communications and engagement, and we caught up with him just as he was making his predictions for the FIFA World Cup…
Q: What appealed to you about working for Pagabo?
A: I previously worked for one of the directors and had met most of the office team at a Christmas party and found they were easy to get on with. I visited the offices and it appeared to be a very relaxed and friendly environment.
Q: What makes a good office administrator?
A: Having a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills. Also, being organised and efficient along with a sound knowledge of computers and software.
Q: So far, what is satisfying about the role?
A: Taking part in the marketing and seeing how much the brand has developed in such a short space of time.
Q: How important to the role is understanding the procurement industry?
A: It is more important than I first thought. I was surprised to discover just how many different organisations we engage with, and how big a part our frameworks play in saving time and money for the public sector.
Q: What is the first thing you do when you get in on a morning?
A:Usually grab a drink and catch up on any missed emails and calls, and then come up with a plan of action for the day.
Q: How do you spend your time away from the office?
A: I like going out with friends and playing sport – mainly football. I enjoy listening to music especially hip-hop and rap.
Q: What Apps are essential to your lifestyle?
It would have to be Twitter and Apple Music.
Q: What ingredients make a good night out?
A:Mates, food and a few drinks.
Q: How would you sell the city of Hull to tourists?
A: There are a lot of interesting places to visit. The Deep is an amazing attraction, and the Old Town is well worth a visit for its bars and restaurants.
Q: Any predictions for the FIFA World Cup?
A: I think Brazil could win it this time around, with Belgium as my dark horse.
