Project Insights: Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has appointed Rio Surfacing to deliver the expansion of parking provision at Alexandra Hospital, procured through the Small Works Dynamic Purchasing System, which we manage on behalf of Red Kite Learning Trust.
The project focuses on increasing capacity within the North Car Park to better support staff, patients and visitors. Works include setting out the new parking area, excavation, installation of a cellular grid system with gravel infill, drainage improvements and new timber edging to define the car park boundary. Delivered within a live healthcare environment, the scheme requires careful coordination to minimise disruption while enhancing accessibility and site functionality.
