Faithful+Gould appointed as project managers on £15m modular housing scheme through Pagabo
We’re pleased to announce that Faithful+Gould have been appointed as project managers on a £15m modular housing scheme by Bassetlaw District Council.
Utilising Lot 1 of our Professional Services Framework meant that the Council were able to appoint Faithful+Gould to deliver multi-disciplinary services through a quick and compliant procurement route. This multi-disciplinary award included project manager services which is available through Lot 4 of our framework.
Do you have any upcoming projects that could benefit from using our Professional Services Framework?
Modern approach to housing
Faithful+Gould will act as project and commercial managers for the 120-home scheme in Nottinghamshire. They will also deliver the role of principle designer, providing a range of services for the scheme both internally and through the use of their supply-chain.
This is the Council’s first modular residential development and is part of its plan to boost council housing in the district. It will include one apartment block with around 30 homes and 95 bungalows consisting of mostly two and three-bedroom homes.
The modular approach will enable the scheme to be built quicker, more cost effectively, and crucially, at a consistent and high quality.
Mark Sweeney, Design Manager at Bassetlaw District Council, said: “It’s a real pleasure to have worked to deliver this modern, innovative and energy efficient housing scheme, continuing the Council’s ambition to increase the amount of council housing available in our district.”
“For this scheme, we opted to procure through Lot 1 of Pagabo’s Professional Services Framework which enabled us to bring in all of the services we required under one single provider, Faithful+Gould. Procurement through the Framework was really straight forward and Pagabo’s team provided ongoing support throughout the appointment process, I couldn’t recommend them enough!”
A scheme with social value at its core
Faithful+Gould’s role as lead consultant on this scheme is also set to have a huge impact on the local economy. It is forecasted that their role will contribute a total of £1,225,817 to the local area, which equates to around £2.22 generated for every £1 spent by the Council.
Having the ability to evidence this impact is a massive deal in the current climate, with every £1 of public money spent heavily scrutinised, so it’s great to be working with a partner like Loop to support us in measuring this.
Emma Hesbrook, Regional Relationship Manager at Pagabo, said: “It’s great to see Bassetlaw District Council taking advantage of both Faithful+Gould’s expertise in modular housing and the benefits a multidisciplinary appointment brings to this particular scheme.
“By utilising Lot 1 of our Professional Services Framework, the Council were able to quickly and compliantly appoint Faithful+Gould to undertake a range of services, both in house and through their supply-chain of local SMEs, which is a real advantage offered by this framework.”
Faithful+Gould will act as the scheme’s principal designer and has appointed a team of SMEs based in nearby Nottingham, including consultants Dice Consultancy and BEC Consultancy.
We’re delighted to be supporting the Council on their first modular housing development and to help transform this currently derelict area of land.
We look forward to seeing the finished build and the positive impacts this is set to have locally.
