Client name: HM Revenue & Customs
Framework: Medium Works Framework
Project insights: HM Revenue & Customs has appointed Baxall Construction to deliver the external refurbishment of its Croydon office building, procured through the Medium Works Framework, which we manage on behalf of The Education Alliance.
Located at 1 Ruskin Square, the project comprises the refurbishment and uplift of the building’s external exoskeletal steel frame. Delivered under a JCT Design and Build contract, the works include access and logistics planning, such as scaffolding and façade protection, alongside the preparation, cleaning and priming of the existing structure across the East, West and South elevations.
The scheme will also see the full recoating of fireproofing and paint finishes, improving both the durability and appearance of the building. The refurbishment will extend the lifespan of the structure, enhance its visual quality, and ensure continued performance in line with operational requirements.
