Project Insights: Oxford City Council has appointed Jackson Civil Engineering to support the development of the Oxpens River Bridge, procured through the Civils & Infrastructure Framework which we manage on behalf of QE Facilities. The new pedestrian and cycle bridge will provide a vital crossing of the River Thames, creating an attractive and direct route for people travelling to and from Oxford city centre from the west and south of the city. The scheme will play a key role in improving sustainable transport connectivity, encouraging walking and cycling as viable alternatives to car travel and helping to reduce congestion in and around the city centre.
