Project Insights: Rugby Borough Council has appointed City Demolition Contractors Birmingham Ltd to undertake demolition, and site stabilisation works at 15/17 Hill Street, procured through the Demolition & Land Remediation Framework, which we manage on behalf of Rugby Borough Council.
The project involves the demolition of two residential properties and detached garages, with both sites fully cleared and ground levels reinstated following completion. In addition to the demolition works, City Demolition Contractors Birmingham Ltd will deliver temporary support measures to an existing retaining wall, helping to mitigate the risk of further structural failure through the installation of a bastion wall solution.
The scheme will help prepare the sites for future redevelopment opportunities while ensuring immediate safety risks are effectively managed. As both a framework user and host for the Demolition & Land Remediation Framework, Rugby Borough Council continues to demonstrate the value of collaborative procurement in supporting local regeneration projects.
