Project Insights: Through a Further Competition via the Major Works Framework which we manage on behalf of contracting authority Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust, Willmott Dixon have been appointed to deliver a new Safe Centre in Erdington. The project includes demolition of a previously used secure facility and construction of a modern, fit-for-purpose 20-bed centre. With an initial PCSA instruction now underway, main works are expected to commence in Spring 2026. The scheme will provide a safe, supportive environment for vulnerable children and young people, ensuring improved facilities for care and rehabilitation services.
