Another great project has been delivered through our refit and refurbishment solutions framework, with the completion of works valued at £580,000 to six of Red Kite Learning Trust’s schools.
The six schools located within the districts of North & West Yorkshire required many different developments to their current facilities, including school hall refurbishments to Whitkirk Primary School in Leeds, replacement of the existing windows to the annex building at Western Primary School in Harrogate and the replacement of existing curtain walling to Coppice Valley Primary School in Harrogate and Temple Newsam Halton Primary School in Leeds.
Through early engagement, Pagabo were able to understand the trust’s requirements for the project and were able to quickly start the process of appointing a supplier with the capabilities to deliver on this.
Following a Two-Stage Further Competition process, Lindum Group were selected as the supplier of choice and commenced work on site shortly afterwards.
Hayley Cowell, Framework Manager of Lindum Group, had this to say, “Pagabo is a great advocate for its construction partners, which helps when securing work with new clients. The framework is very simple to use and offers good support to all parties. Pagabo really assists in the development of strong client relationships”.
The trust was also extremely complementary of Pagabo’s role in delivering the project. Steve Howell, CFO, Red Kite Learning Trust, stated that, “Managing the estates of our growing organisation is a significant challenge, this unique framework significantly simplifies the procurement of our refit and refurbishment projects”.
In addition to the benefits which the new facilities will provide to the schools, their staff and pupils; the completion of the project will also bring massive benefits to the communities that surround the schools, with a huge £996,958 in social value enabled by this series of refurbishments.
It is great to see this framework continue to deliver important projects that have huge impacts on communities across the UK and we hope more will follow.
